Samuel J. Okoro - CEO, Leapfrog Alliance Ltd.
"My personality combines a creative, artistic side with a more analytic, logical and practical aspect. I have at various times taken an active interest in the visual arts - painting, sculpting and photography, and the literary arts - poetry and prose. On the other hand I love mathematics, studied engineering and pursued my interests in IT to certification level.
I cut my entrepreneurial teeth as a student supplementing parental stipends with income from photography, art and private tutoring. I have since become involved in agriculture and have a knowledge/technology project in the pipeline.
I began my formal work career in the academics and then moved on to the manufacturing sector where my roles spanned production maintenance, finance, training and projects. My move into management training and consulting synthesizes my academic and industry backgrounds, my creative and practical selves and my intellectual powers to create value across sector boundaries.
I hold an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School of Heriot Watt University, and a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. For my first and second engineering degrees, I graduated at the top of my class in 1990 and 1994 respectively."
